Rough idle and shifting, loss of power - 2008 Avalanche

Hey all,

Just traded in my 2011 Silverado for a 2008 Avalanche LT 4x4 w/68k miles.

I have had it for less than a day and so far the problems I've had are:
1) Service stabilitrac
2) Service traction control
3) Tonight I was driving home from a friend's house when I felt it violently kick from first to second and then the check engine light came on and now the engine shakes and shudders at all times.

My guess is some bad sensors for the first two issues and not sure about the third issue.

Anyways, I purchased GM Protection Plan (Major Guard) so I'm going to bring the truck by the dealer and have them take care of it. I'll keep you guys posted on what the dealer said and my review on the GMPP.

In the mean time could you guys throw out some ideas as to what you think it could be?

Thanks!

It doesn't have any LED bulbs in it and I did get a CARFAX. Everything checked out. I brought it by Advance Auto Parts today just to see what their code reader would say and I got the following codes:

B0561 ABSSystem Disabled
Information Stored
Invalid Serial Data Received

P0206
Injector Circuit / Open - Cylinder 6

P0306
Cylinder 6 Misfire Detected

Although I can bring it by any GM dealer for service I fully plan on bringing it back to the selling dealer and having them fix it all.

Update:

I brought it by the dealer and they looked at it. It turns out there was a bad connection on cylinder 6's fuel injector and that's what was causing those trouble codes. They repaired the connection and everything is working fine! This dealer is really good about repairs and they didn't give me any problems at all.

I am very impressed that they wanted to make things right so they are still good in my book.

Hello,

I am very happy to hear that you are impressed with your local dealership and your visit experience was a good one. It brings a smile to our face when we hear that our customers have a good relationship with their dealerships.

Safe travels,
