Hey guys, new to the group. I bought a '98 silverado with a bad motor. I have a '94 gmc that i put a new motor in a few years back. I am using the block from the '94 and putting heads and intake from the '98. All was going good until i went to put the water pump on and realized the new pump doesnt cover the bypass on the passenger side of the block. I have done some research and cant find much on this. One person said to tap and plug the hole. Another guy said it needs to be there to circulate water through the block before the thermostat opens. Anyone have any info on what to do would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
