I am wanting to install lockers in my suburban and was wondering what type yall use and and the pros and cons of your choice. i have actually pondered putting detroit lockers in the front and rear. i would love ARB's but the budget does not allow.

Let me know what your running and if you would change or keep what you got.

thanks guys

I know you said it's out of your budget but the best locker I've ever used is ARB.
If not ARB then any selectable locker.
I really like the ability to select the locker on/off, this becomes real important in a big vehicle like a Burb when your on a tight trail trying to negotiate turns, yea you can pop the truck out of 4 wheel to make the corner, but with a selectable you at least have 3 wheel when the lockers deactivated and if you have to go out of 4 wheel you also lose low range unless you've got a twin stick set-up.

For your 14-bolt rearend, a Detroit would probably be your best and most cost-effective route. Because of the way the 14-bolt carrier is set up, you basically only need the innards of a Detroit locker to make it work, which makes it a lot cheaper than Detroits for other axles.

i would love the get a set of ARB's or even the new Yukon air locker but its just hard to spend $1600 + on lockers for a weekend truck. i do believe in building for the worst and hope for the best but the money is just to hard to let go when i need other parts also. But trust me it has crossed my mind to continue to save and just do it.

Sooooo....... Ttbplus10 just how fast is that Panamera???

Yea, Im thinking that the Detroit Locker is the best for the rear but not sure what i should use in the front.......Maybe Detroits in both front and rear???

Heard that they were not good for tires over 33 inched

Detroit Trutrac would be a good option.
