I've been on MetroPCS for a while and they just boosted the 3G coverage and they are rolling out the 4G in metro areas too ... BUT they don't have the latest and best phones?

So, what's everyone got for a SmartPhone? You have iPhone or Android or something else? Do you surf the web with it, or do you prefer to download apps? Do you get on GMTC with your SmartPhone?

I'm looking at getting the Thunderbolt on Verizon, but it's a big jump in cost for me. Thoughts? I know one guy who has it and he loves it.

I have been a long time BlackBerry user and loved them until the wife got the iPhone and I drank the kool aide and got a iPhone 4 and LOVE it! I use it for internet, videos of the little guy and random pics here and there. The apps are awesome and having the iPod in with it is great. The only downfall is seems like the last thing Apple thought of when making this phone was that it was a phone. I dorp 3 of 5 calls. I live in the sticks, but never dropped a call with the BlackBerrys.

I've been a Verizon customer for around 10 years now, I currently receive a 20% monthly access discount through my employer (Target). The phone I have now is the Samsung Fascinate which is part of the Galaxy S family, so far it's been a great phone, I browse the web some (mainly this site!) and play the usual games on it, it's been really useful when we have been out of town for GPS directions and finding restaurants etc. I just upgraded my wife's phone to the Droid Incredible 2 and she loves it. She had said she didn't need a smartphone but now she has it she wouldn't want to be without it.

I have been a blackberry guy for a long time, use att. I live in the city and don't run into any coverage issues unless I get WAY out in the country. I am on the internet everyday but I don't buy a lot of apps. I bought my wife an iphone a few years and I have to admit that it is cool. If the iphone 5 (supposed to be out in Oct.)is everything they say it will be, I will make the switch.

I have the iPhone 4 with telus (best option in Canada, IMO). The metal band on the iPhone is the antenna on the iPhone 4, and can cause reception issues, which somebody else had mentioned. I have no reception issues when mine is in a case. It does everything I want it to do, and does it well. Overall, I'm glad I chose the iPhone, and once I got it and showed my mom what it can do, she decided that she should have listened to me and bought an iPhone instead of another blackberry. And for anyone in Canada, I also suggest telus as a carrier because Rogers doesn't actually even have 3G in all of the major cities let alone everywhere else, while telus & bell just built their new network 2 years ago to support 3G so everywhere that you get service (which is also a larger area than Rogers) you get 3G service. The network was also built with 4g in mind so it is likely they will be the first to have it and it will again cover the whole coverage area

Mine is the Iphone 4 with AT&T. Had the Iphone 3 for 2 years then upgraded to the 4.Cant say enough about the Iphone and how many times it bailed me out of trouble. Wouldnt be caught without it. My company provides all its drivers Linehaul and local LTL with the HTC desire (Droid) . I think it cant compare to the Iphone. AT&T has put alot of cash into their system lately. I love the service

I've got a Droid 2 for a work phone and the wife and I have Droid Incredible 2's for personal phones, all 3 are with Verizon they gave me the phones free as a Military/Retiree discount and then I get a 20% discount through work for the monthly service.
Either phone works great for my purposes, they probably have to much capability, the personal phones are 4G and the work phone is 3G but I really dont see alot of difference between the two.

Sprint is the only carrier with a sane and remotely reasonable plan for smartphones. I have the original Palm Prē on there. Wanting to upgrade, but the newer Prēs are only available on other carriers or networks, and I really don't want to pay twice as much, and get worse/less service.

I have a droid x with verizon. Verizon has by far the best coverage of any cell provider. I have 5 phones on my plan and it runs me about 190.00 per month with all the features. I have the only smart phone on that plan. My wife has a smart phone but she has a seperate plan as you can only have 5 phones on a family plan.

I'm currently using the Iphone 3gs on AT&T (Eagerly awaiting the Iphone 5). After switching from a Blackberry to Iphone, I can safely say I'll probably be a lifelong Iphone user lol. It's great having everything you need in one device, web browser, apps, navigation, Ipod, planner etc.... I never leave the house without it lol. The cell service by me is decent for what I use the phone for but the reception could be better IMO.

I've been using the original Motorola Droid on Verizon since it came out in 2009. Best phone I've ever had. I use it for everything, even read and clear fault codes on my Silverado with it. I'm waiting for the Droid Bionic to finally come out so I can upgrade.
