I have a Beautiful 1994 GMC 2500 4X4 with a 6 Inch Lift that runs and drives great. Yesterday, I picked up a 1997 Tahoe with a Whipple supercharger and a built Vortec. The previous owner was moving and after going through multiple trannies was finished with the project and I picked it up for a deal I couldnt turn down. Anyways, as you all know the 94 isnt a Vortec. What would you all do? Should I do the swap with the Vortec and the Whipple? Is there anyway to make the Whipple work on my motor now? Any interest if I were to sell the Whipple? How hard is the swap? I never thought I would have this opporunity and it may be too much work? Thanks my number is 425 322 9954 if it is easier to speak on the phone. Thanks Land vehicle Vehicle Tire Car Automotive tire

I say if anything swap the whole motor and just buy a 95-98 wiring harness for the truck and you'll be good! It would be worth throwing the whipple on that 94 350 motor without some decent mods. My real opinion would be sell the built motor and turbo your 350 :)

Yes I believe it should bolt right up. You should have the 40L60e which is a good tranny and built can handle lots of power but in stock condition I don't know long it'll hold up to that built motor.

Welcome to the club. Your looking at alot of work to swap engines. I would just finish the Tahoe project. Sounds like it just needs a properly built transmission.

Being me, im assuming the vortec is a V8. and i also assume your running the stock chevy 350. i would part it out. take some of the high end vortec bolt ons and bolt it on to the 350. but their 2 different engines in 2 different era's. if you have money i would engine swap and restore the stock 350 with a few bolt on's and paint and sell it. thats just me
