What shocks does the lift manufacturer recommend?

The kit didn't come with new shocks?
Personally I normally won't go with an off the shelf recomendation for shocks on a lifted truck.
With the present shocks and any sway bars disconnected I'll Jack up each corner of the truck, one corner at a time, with the Jack on the frame, until the lifted corner tire just comes off the ground. Then measure from upper shock mount to lower shock mount and write the measurement down for the lifted corner and the diametrically opposite corner. Do this at each corner of the truck and you will then have your extended and compressed lengths for each corner. Don't be surprised if you have different lengths on the same axle, shouldn't happen but it sometimes does. These measurements given to a parts guy should get you the best shocks for your truck.

@tbplus10
the kit came with some FTS 2.0 shocks for the rear only. the ride quality just straight sucks.... I've been looking and Bilstien and Fox Shocks but I'm so confused because everywhere i look, all these manufacture only make shocks thats for UP TO 3" lift. And does a strut with a reservoir make a big difference? coil overs replacement in the front? i feel like im in way over my head. please help me

I've been searching and it seems as tho its a real pita to find the stuff anymore. I know bilstein made a 7-9 adjustable strut, and a lot of companies make longer rear shocks than 0-3" lift. I havent had a lift for a few years and havent looked at the stuff. I know I looked at stuff for 4-6" rear and 7-9" rear. I found a lot of part numbers but they all come up blank or discontinued. I would guess you have a 4.5" rear block but not sure. I know it was popular to run a rough country rear block with the fts kit because the rc 7.5 kit has 5" rear blocks with are a 4" rear lift. I know the stuff is out there, just really difficult to find apparently
