can you give me an idea how different the braking is with these? I have a 2500 w/ ABS with 8 lugs too. Stopping power is good, but not as good as the new Yukon I rented last year.
They are still smooth and progressive like factory GM brakes, but you just get more stopping power sooner.
Also, the full Z36 kit gave me enough braking power to engage the ABS in a hard stop, going straight, on smooth dry pavement. With the stock brakes you had to really lay into them to get that to happen. Almost as important as improved stopping power is fade resistance....
...The stock brakes fade pretty quickly, and can get scary. For example towing in mountain roads. The PowerStop will eventually heat up enough to reduce effectiveness, but it takes much longer and happens to a much lesser degree. I personally have never had them fade right out like I have occasionally with the stock brakes...
