1998 Sonoma, the driver door hinge looks fine. The door doesn't sag. The hing pin isn't loose or wobbled out. But the little round roller that the spring part rolls on seems like is worn out. I think the inside of the roller is egged out and it makes a loud POP sound when the spring part transitions from one "step" to the next as it rolls over this roller. I've searched all over and don't see any repair kits for this. All I see are hing pin kits to replace worn out hing pins. My pin looks fin. I'm not even sure how I would get this roller out. The pin is welded in, not pressed in. Surely someone else has had this problem and found a cure. Please advise. Thanks

Yes this is exactly what i needed? Thanks silverado002 for pointing me in the right direction. It looks like it could be a little difficult, but at least someone took the time to document how it's done. Thanks again!

You are welcome. Definitely wasn't designed for ease of maintenance. Probably saved GM a buck. It requires some skills and some somewhat unique power tools. It really bothers me that GM also welded some hinges to the frames/doors on some vehicles like the back doors on my extended cab.
