My buddy just bought a 2004 Silverado that the previous owner had installed a topper on. He traded the topper in at the local truck accessory shop for some other stuff, but now is looking for the OEM whale tail tailgate cap. Anyone know of an aftermarket manufacturer that makes one in the whale tail style, or how much the dealership would charge for a new one? Thanks!

A guy on ebay sells it for $70 including shipping. I bought mine from him. That is probably going to be the best price. Some stores online sell it for $90 or more including shipping. The dealership would probably charge $120 or more. Here is the link for the guy on ebay
