I just bought a 99 gmc sierra ext cab z71 fully loaded. I have a problem with the power seat on drivers side not working but passenger side does. Also power mirrors do not work at all. The guy that had it replaced the memory switch and ive checked every fuse and relay and plugs under the seat. Anyone have any ideas??

Hi. The term "memory switch" throws me a bit but anyway, on my 2001, the switch worked but not all positions. I watched a youtube video how to take the switch out, take it apart and clean the contacts. After doing so, all motion was restored. Doesn't seem like this is your problem, but maybe it'll help.

OH, ha ha. I get it now. My bad. Duh. Memory switch for the seat. Grrrr. My reply was referring to the power mirrors. In my opinion that switch is for the seat only. The mirror switch on my truck is "below" the switch where you select Left or Right depending on what mirror you want to move. It has four arrows on it, up, down, left, right, so you can adjust the mirrors. My switch has worked fine ever since I opened it up and cleaned the contacts using alcohol and a Qtip swab.

I was thinking replacing both of those switches and the one on the seat. The control switch i guess. Maybe they have shorts or are gone bad. If not its a ground or wire somewhere. Or the seat motor is shot. But im open to any ideas before all that

FWIW, don't bother trying to clean the contacts on the switches. Buy a couple new ones on ebay. The last mirror switch I bought for my power/heated mirrors cost me about $9, new, and it was plug and go.
