2003 GMC Yukon. Where is the fuel filter located? Thanks for all the past help. I have no fuel pressure just don't want to beleive that its the fuel pump, but that may be what it is. I looked at the fuel tank because I was told you need to drop the drive shaft before droping the gas tank anyone know if this true. Thanks for all your help.

It should be on the frame rail somewhere, just follow the lines from the tank forward and you should find it. I did find out that around 05, they stopped using external filters and only filter the pump itself inside the tank. Your 03 may be that way as well.

You shouldn't have to remove the drive shaft to drop the tank. I dropped the tank in my dad's Yukon XL last week and the only thing I had to remove was the spare tire. That made it easier to get at the filler neck hose and the lines coming out of the back of the tank. There is also a vent line at the front of the tank that needs to be disconnected before you drop it or it will break when the tank comes down.
