Please does anyone know what could have happened

 

What year and model truck? Any ses light/codes?

 

 

Was it just a gentle tap, or a big crunch that moved the truck?

 

Gentel tap hardly knew he hit me

 

Check the cable linkage on the side of the transmission. If the bracket broke, the cable might not pull down thru the gears all the way. When mine broke, I couldn't get back into park and my truck rolled away at a gas station.

 

Nope checked the cable it's not cable when I run the motor it whines in park
