I would like to know if anyone knows how to disable the tire pressure monitoring system on a 2008 Silverado as i have changed the wheels and tires and wasn't aware that i would be stuck with the warning light constantly in the odometer display.

i dont think you can disable it, what should have been done was put the TPMS sensors from the old rims on to the new ones. Thats what we do every time cost a little more (3 bucks a wheel) but keeps the system working
It's not just the warning light buddy. Your truck is now unsafe as your ABS will not work as it's supposed to. Do yourself and everybody on the road a big favor and install your sensors.
yeah that is what i have seen on a lot of these posts that you can put them on the new wheels and resolve the issue of the light and have your abs working right still.
I said it before and i'll say it again the more i learn about these newer trucks the more i am glad i have my 99 tahoe still
