97 Chevy Silverado 1500 Cruise control not working

This is probably an old issue and I have looked through some of the threads on it but nothing so far has helped. I unplugged the connector at module under hood to check but no power to pins A, B, C. Pin D seems to work normally after changing brake light switch but no power to the others. Checked fuse - good. That leads me to think multi function lever switch but unsure since no power to pin A.
Is there something else I'm overlooking?
Thank you,

The cruise control on my '94 K1500 finally went out about 10 years ago. Pretty sure my switch on the end of the stalk needs replacing - it was working OK, then started to fail unless I wiggled the switch/stalk. Then soon after that it never worked again. Never bothered to repair that one!

Have you suspected your switch?

Thank you for the info. I suspect the switch since it seems to control everything about the cruise control along with the module under the hood. The brake light switch also has a role but that was replaced. If I have no power to module then I suspect switch on column. Looks like a pain in the neck to replace so I would like to be sure.

Pull the codes. There's several things that prevent cruise from operating. If you don't have a scan gauge an auto parts store will read the codes for you. Be sure to write down the codes and post them here. The biggie is the CEL. If it's on you'll never get cruise to work.
