Twang or Spring like noise?

I have an '04 Silverado and lately, after it sits a while, like overnight or at work, when I start moving there is a twang or spring like noise that happens in the first 10 feet or so of driving. I usually happens in reverse, but that just might be that the majority of the time after parking I back out before putting it in drive. Any ideas? Sounds like something under tension is snapping into place with a subtle twang. It's not in the steering, but sounds like it's in the front.

I believe cicone probably has the torsion bar front suspension, btw welcome to the club, you might want to take your Silverado into a good front end shop where they can get it on a lift and scope things out, could be any number of things.

Thanks. Actually have been a member for a long time, but other than radio and PRNDL light issues, it's been a trouble free vehicle, so I haven't been posting here. I'm leaning toward the springs also, and on the occasion when I actually feel it, it's in the brake pedal, which makes sense. Could they just be shifting while sitting in park? Are there bushings for the springs which may be worn? Had it on a lift a few weeks ago and everything else seemed tight including the uni's and the driveshaft. BTW, it is 2wd. Then again---scratches head---it's been so long since I've had any issues with this truck, I may have actually been on another forum 10 years ago, but glad to be here.
