I bought a new 2016 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L crew cab Z71 back in March and I loved the truck from day one. I now have 6k miles on it and I'm ready to get rid of it. The 6 speed tranny is giving me fits as it tries to get into 4th gear at 25-3o mph and when I try to give it gas or speed up, it can't decide which gear to go into and just sputters and chugs until I stomp on it and it takes off like a rocket. I love the pulling power and torque but around town driving, which I mostly do, is very frustrating. I have had it to the dealer 3 times now and they say that the adaptive tranny program is learning how I drive and it would be right if I was driving a Prius but I thought I was driving a V8 4x4 four door truck. They reset computer back to original for the shifting patterns but it goes right back to being a car. I thought about a chip or programmer but I wanted to see is anyone on here has had this problem or can give me a possible solution to this. I'm currently driving a 2016 2500 duramax(while mine is at the dealer yet again) and it is a beast but not sure I'm ready to pony up the cash for it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
